Occult Spirit Battle – a story by Ngozi Lovelyn
Prisca was sleeping soundly in the room, while Damian sat comfortably in the Parlour, like someone who just won a battle, making call with Okongwu.
“Now she is with you, things will start going easy on you” Okongwu said
“With all her powers, she wasn’t able to see my clear intentions toward her, are you sure she is the one? Are you sure she is powerful as he claims?”
“Ezengugu doesn’t lie. Sleep with her three times tonight while wearing the charm. Take note of the times, 12 am, this is to draw her spirit out. 2.30 am. to establish a connection with her, and then 3.15 am, to bend her to your wills. And don’t forget to recite the words. By this time tomorrow, her spirit will be totally under your control. She will be all yours to command. Damian, you are becoming the most powerful and influential man in the country. Congratulations to you”
And Damian felt elevated, happy, fulfilled and perceiving his powers growing.
“That’s all I’m wishing for” Damian said
“Remember, making love to you should be from her heart. Don’t force her, otherwise…”
“Yes, I know” Damian cut in and continued “I know what will happen, no need reminding me. Making love to me hasn’t been a problem. She enjoys it” he said
“Things don’t always go as planned” Okongwu said, ending the call.
After the call ended, Damian remained still, thinking about the whole process and the next action in line.
He then, returned to the room, to check up on Prisca.
He found her sleeping peacefully, he checked the time and it was, 9.45 pm.
Mr Nduka was about calling the police when his wife walked to him and requested him to stop.
“Why are you restraining me from involving the police? That man kidnapped my daughter” he said
“Can’t you see what is happening? This is not a physical battle. I know my daughter. I raised her, I know how her mind works. It’s shocking how she is the only one who is not seeing the beast in that Damian of a man. My husband, forgive me but I have to do something. Something that is totally against our faith as Christians”
Seeing the seriousness on his wife’s face, he got a clear picture that, she was about doing something scary to human imagination.
“What are you planning to do?” He asked in a clear voice
“Nobody should tell a mother how to fight for her daughter. Prisca is my only child, my sweet girl. I’m not going to sit by and watch that demon destroy her. I’m her mother, so nobody has the right to judge what I’m about to do”
“Listen to me, do not do anything stupid, I’m calling the police.” Mr Nduka tried to scold the wife, talking her out of whatever she was planning, but before his words could land, Mrs Nduka already walked out on him, entering the kitchen and jamming the door behind her.
Prisca was still sleeping and saw herself having the most weird dream.
She was walking in a lonely path, and was wondering why she hasn’t seen anyone. So she continued walking and then stopped, wondering where she was going. As she turned, she saw someone that looked exactly like her, standing behind her.
She got scared, tried to run, but she wasn’t running fast. She tried all her strength, but she found herself limping. She then turned, looking at the person
“Who are you?” She startled
“I’m you” laughing widely
