Okwuchi was standing, ready to stop Ndubuisi from pushing through with his plan of driving Ujuaku away from his house.
Ogechi got immense joy gracing her heart, that Ndubuisi considered her his wife and about to do the needful by dragging Ujuaku away from his house.
Cherry on her own side, rushed to the living room, to enjoy the drama that was about to ensue.
But to everyone’s wonder, it wasn’t what they expected.
Ndubuisi trudged out of the room, looking calm, but lost.
Ujuaku walked from behind and sat comfortably on the sofa.
Everybody stood, trying to understand what was going on.
Ndubuisi still remained lost, fixing his eyes on a particular position.
Cherry walked to him and touched him.
“Are you ok?” she asked, but Ndubuisi did not respond nor looked at her direction.
“Mama, you should have told me that, she is the most beautiful girl on earth” Ndubuisi said, still fixing his eyes on that sam position.
And Cherry got fed up with him and rushed inside to get her things.
“I can’t believe I wasted my time on a man who think between his balls” she irked bitterly, regretting loving Ndubuisi.
While she was still packing her things, Ogechi rushed to her.
“What are you doing?” she asked
“You have eyes, so don’t ask me stupid questions”
“Trust me, something is going on with Ndubuisi. He needs our help more than ever”
But Cherry ignored her and continued with what she was doing.
“I need your help, do you have a spare phone? I need to be contacting someone, my mother. I think Ndubuisi is under a spell, and with his condition, he won’t be buying me the phone he promised me. Trust me, I will return it to you when everything is cleared”
Cherry picked her small phone and handed it over to her.
“Since you so much believe that, something is wrong with him, then have it, call who ever you want to call and save him. As for me, I’m not caught up for this kind of life. I can’t sit around, waiting for when every drama in his life will finally be over. His mother is evil and manipulative. She is a witch. So, goodluck in all your endeavors. I’m out of here” she said, lifting her bag and stormed the parlour.
Ndubuisi was still standing in the same position. She gave him a long look, expecting him to react or say something, but he still remained as he was. Cherry hissed loudly, dragging her bag and heading towards the door.
And Ujuaku burst out, laughing.
“So you are leaving, what happened to your brave spirit? I thought you are the courageous one….come and stay naaa” she mocked Cherry a laugh, but Cherry ignored her, walking away.
She wasn’t the type who enjoyed drama.
And Okwuchi turned, looking at Ujuaku whom she thought was the quiet type. She tried to understand what was going on and why her son, who rushed the room in deep anger came out, soft and lost.
“My husband” Ujuaku called as Ndubuisi rushed her side.
“My wife, my queen, you called me? I am here. What can I do for you?” Ndubuisi asked in courteous manner.
“Go to that room, carry my bag and keep them in our room”
And Ndubuisi stood, bowed in respect, “Right away my queen”
He rushed the room, carried the bags and kept them in his room
He then rushed back to her, to inform her that, he had carried out her instruction.
Ndubuisi’s behaviour got Ogechi extremely confused.
“Who is playing this game on my husband?” She took a close look on Okwuchi and saw how shocked she looked “I think, Ujuaku is the one playing this. My poor husband, he has really seen a lot all because of his mother.” She said to her self, feeling sad and having his hope of getting Ndubuisi back, withering
