I’ve known Buchi for 7 years. We started dating after I graduated from secondary school.
Though, I dated other men behind his back which he wasn’t aware off. To him, I was his ever faithful girlfriend and he was so proud of me.
Buchi also supported my education. He made sure that I never lacked anything, with the intention of securing our future together. He was waiting for me to finish school, so he can come for me in marriage, but I already had other plans in mind.
I had to be realistic and not live in a fantasy world. I had to consider my future and that of my children, because love can’t put food on the table.
So I decided to make up my mind to accept Chris, who I met at a friend’s wedding.
He proposed 3 months after we met, but I didn’t give him my answer right away.
So, he requested I take my time, and that I shouldn’t take too long.
Finally I reached the conclusion that, Chris is perfect to be my husband. He may not be a wonderful man, but he is wealthy enough to make me happy and also ensure my children receive the best in life.
So, I said yes, accepting his proposal. He was happy and said that, he knew I was the one made specially for him and promised to beautify my world.
I believed him, because in Nigeria now, money is everything.
It then remained informing Buchi about it.
So I called him and informed him that I would be coming over for the weekend and he was excited. The poor guy never knew that, I was coming to spend my last weekend with him.
He loved my company and never got tired of me. He couldn’t wait for me to finish school so he can officially make our relationship legal, but little did he know that, his plans were about to be overtaken by another man.
