Ella stood disappointed, maintaining an furious eye contact with Siv.
Siv knew Ella won’t be believing him right away, but he saw it reasonable to help her understand the nature of man Jide was.
“I thought you were a total gentle man. And I was busy, searching for a way to link you with my best friend. What did you think? That I will buy this cheap lie of yours? Is this the low you can get just to snatch a lady from her fiance? You disgust me. Shameless!” – Ella said, vilifying him, walking away from where he was standing. But Siv didn’t give up.
“Don’t you think you deserve someone better? You saw how he treated you at the party and yet, you saw him fit to be your husband, don’t you think you should pause your life a bit and have a rethink?” Jide suggested, still trying to make Ella who was busy with her shopping to understand him.
But Ella found his behaviour quite disturbing and yelled at him to stop disturbing her.
This drew the attention of the people towards their direction.
And Jide comported himself, remaining calm, to show everyone that he was ok, that they should continue with what they were doing.
“Listen Siv or whatever your name is, you are wasting your time thinking I’m going to leave my fiance and fall into your arms….(scoffed) May God forbid bad thing” She swore and spat, to get Siv infuriated, in order to stop bothering her.
She added “I’m going to inform my girlfriend that, you are a terrible idea. You don’t deserve a kind soul like her”
Ella enunciated, looking very serious.
Siv remained calm, absorbing everything she was saying.
“Alright girl, I have heard everything you said…. But I won’t leave without saying this. My arms will always be opened when the web that is blocking your sight finally clears. This young man here is dreaming of a future with you and trust me, this dream is never going dim”
Ella continued grimacing at him, wondering his effrontery
The moment Siv finished saying everything he had to say, he gently headed towards the exit.
And Ella hissed loudly, to his hearing and turning towards the counter to continue picking the items she came to buy.
