My Wicked Him – Episode 22 by Ngozi Lovelyn
The moment Siv entered his car, he angrily hit his steering, as his heart couldn’t stop feeling bruised with the way Ella insulted him in the presence of everyone.
“No woman has ever insulted me like that. I was only looking out for her. See, I swear, I will forget that girl. Since she enjoys fire so much, let her burn. Is she crazy or something? The guys behaviour was all over the party, but yet, she saw him worthy of being her husband? Is she that desperate or something? Sylvester, seriously, you deserve a better girl. Forget her and starting right now” While he was still trying to get his heart to forget her, Ella stepped out of the supermarket, carrying the things she bought.
His eyes fixed on her as his heart started melting. The more he tried pushing her from his head, the more she kept securing a permanent place in his heart.
He couldn’t help, but continued looking at her.
Ella didn’t notice him, she was busy flagging down a taxi.
“Oh boy, you can’t escape this one. She creates this magical feeling anytime my eyes descend on her. I haven’t felt anything like this for any woman before.” He continued watching Ella standing across the road, trying to stop a taxi. He then realised how much his heart was desiring her.
“But how am I going to let her understand that my heart is beating only for her?” Siv got sunken inlove, wishing for a magic to make Ella understand his true feelings
After Ella got home, Jide was already waiting for her.
They hugged, as he gave her a peck.
Ella drew his face, for a kiss.
And they kissed, but Jide didn’t allow it go deep.
“So how was the club? Hope you had enough fun”
“Yea…crazy of it. I’m still battling with hangover” Jide replied, rubbing the back of his neck
“Don’t worry, I’m going to make you a hot black tea, you will be just fine”
“Alright babe”
“And yea, see the things I got…. The house is going to be fully stocked” Cheerful looking Ella said, lifting the bags that contained the items she got from the supermarket, for Jide to see
And Jide smiled casually, and said nice
That wasn’t the reaction she was expecting. She expected a beautiful hug and warm appreciation.
“Baby?” She called
“Yes” Jide replied, sitting on the couch, picking a remote
As she tried to speak, she saw it irrelevant to bother him, since he already complained of hangover.
“Never mind” she said smiling, walking to the kitchen, carrying the bags with her.
Jide stared at her walking into the kitchen with uncertain facial expression. He then took his mind back to the party, remembering how Siv fixed a look on her. He breathed deeply, still with the television remote, surfing for a channel to watch.
