My Wicked Him – Episode 23 by Ngozi Lovelyn
Still at Jide’s house, Ella remembered to call Liz, to inform her about her encounter with Siv.
“Seriously, that guy is crazy” she added
“I told you he has eye for you. Though, I don’t blame him. With everything that happened at the party, Jide with that girl and all that. Any sane person would think the way he did”
“Yes, but not to the extent of formulating a story. Yuck…. he suck..I detest him so much.” Ella said, vilifying Siv’s behaviour
“I guess it would be a waste of question asking about his phone number”
“Forget him babe, he is a wrong idea.”
“Ok..so how is our husband to be? Hope he is excited to have you”
“Yes he is, he is having a serious hangover. So I’m making him a tea”
“Alright, be a good wify oo…… Talk to you later”
The call ended.
Ella was done with the tea.
She brought it to Jide who quietly took it from her.
“How are you feeling now?” Ella inquired
“I guess I will be fine after drinking the tea” he said, smiling faintly
And Ella sat beside him, waiting for him to drink the tea.
“Don’t worry, you will be just fine” she wished
But Jide didn’t respond to that. He kept sipping the tea.
“That guy that danced with you at the party, who was he? And why did you invite him to the party?” He asked, looking very serious
“Seriously, I was even surprised when I saw him, I thought you two were friends and I wasn’t even aware”
“Are you saying you don’t know him?” Jide still maintained a serious look
Ella studied his side face, wondering why he was looking so mean, asking about Siv.
And Jide noticed her silence, turned to her, firing a serious questioning look.
“I used to see him in the street, but I do not know him personally, trust me”
“I should trust you? Yet, you danced together with him, so tight into his body”
“Oh that?… I’m sorry it happened. I only did that to get you jealous, I am so sorry.”
“Then you are too cheap. I thought you were better than the rest.”
“Baby, I am sorry. It was only a dance and nothing more, I swear. Believe me”
“Ella, you still haven’t told me the reason you invited him to the party. I’m still waiting for that answer” he dropped the tea mug loudly, not minding if it would break or not
And Ella got into tears, swearing to him that, there was nothing between her and Siv.
Jide ignored her, walking out of the house.
Ella tried stopping him, as she continued apologising, begging. He pushed her and she fell hard on the floor.
He ignored her, slamming the door and left.
