My Wicked Him – Episode 24 by Ngozi Lovelyn
Ella found herself in pull of tears, regretting ever dancing with Siv.
“Na me do my self oooo…..What was I thinking by allowing him touch my body”
She rushed her phone, calling Liz.
“Babe I’m in trouble ooo….. na me do myself”
“What is it?” Surprised sounding Liz inquired, anxious to know what was happening with her friend
“Liz….. Jide is under the impression that I have something to do with Siv.
“How? And why would he think that?”
“The dance. The way I danced with him. He is furious about it and I’m scared he may call off the marriage. Liz, my heart is on fire. I used my own hand to create problem for myself. I shouldn’t have stooped so low” Ella continued sobbing loudly
“Babe, you need to calm down. Jide doesn’t have any proof to accuse you of having anything to do with Siv. And why is he acting so innocent, what about him? Who was that lady with him?”
“That’s not a case, Liz, and besides, he is a man and shouldn’t be judged for doing what he did, but I’m a woman and shouldn’t have allowed that useless Siv hold me like that. I am so scared right now. Jide left the house in anger and might be breaking up with me once he gets back. I’m so scared Liz.”
“If that’s the case, then he doesn’t love you, he is only looking for an excuse to break up with you. Because I didn’t see anything wrong in the dance you had with Siv. He is only creating an excuse, period!”
“Can you stop talking nonsense and be my friend. I love Jide with all my heart and I’m not seeing myself ending up with another man. Please Liz, suggest an idea for me. You know what, just come to his house. Come and help me beg him”
“Hell no! I’m not doing that.”
“Please Liz, don’t deny me this request. Remember how I helped you beg Peter”
“Yes, but he still left, despite everything. Come on girl, smart up, wise up, Jide is bad market”
“Not true, he is my choice and I believe I’m his choice too, otherwise he wouldn’t have said yes. Please help me clear this misunderstanding. I beg you, do this for me”
And Liz sighed deeply and reluctantly agreed to help her.
“Because you know I really can’t say no to you……but trust me, I don’t like this idea one bit. Everything that happened at that party was all his fault and he is trying to act smart”
“Just start coming already, please” Ella begged,
“I have heard you, I will be on my way” Liz said, disconnecting the call and then shook her head
“I knew there was something off with that guy. Ella should open her eyes, that Jide is bad market”
After their call ended, Ella started calling Jide, but he wasn’t responding.
She continued calling, and Jide got infuriated with the constant call. He then, busied it.
And Ella’s heart flipped. She carried her hand on her head, wailing that Jide had broken up with her.
Her tears were rolling heavily as her heart felt shattered.
She couldn’t imagine a world with Jide.
