My Wicked Him – Episode 36 by Ngozi Lovelyn
Ella was blocked by the lady Siv contracted. She did the job well and was acting so innocent, saying that she and Jide had a terrible past that cost her everything.
“I heard you are his latest ATM. Listen girl, I was once a victim and all my efforts to recover what he took from me went futile. Jide won’t get tired of you until he milked you dry. I loved him and he made me do all the spending in our relationship. Which I’m sure he is making you do now.”
Ella didn’t say a word, she kept listening attentively
The lady continued “trust me, he won’t spend a dime on you. He wont share in any of your worries. Jide destroyed my heart, he ruined my business after he made me release all my life savings to him. I felt hurt when I heard he had another lady trapped in his cage. And I’m sure he must be demanding another huge money from you. That was the last he did before he finally hit the door. I couldn’t recover any, because he never forced me. He made me believe I was doing it for love. See, I’m not saying you shouldn’t love him the way you think seem fit, but before doing so, especially if he is requesting for a huge sum of money, just tell him you will think about it. Don’t be another of his victims. I believe I have saved another lady from falling a victim. Good day” the lady said, sounding so convincing
As she was about to leave, Ella called her back.
She stopped, facing Ella who was giving her an uncertain look
“Did someone ask you to do this?”
“And why would I be needing someone’s permission to save an innocent lady from making the same mistakes I made? Listen, I’m on Jide’s tail and I won’t spare him until he vomit my 3million naira he swindled from me. I released my entire savings, with hope we were planning a future together. He was so sweet that, I fell for him. I believed him without having a second thought.” She got teary, lightly, which made Ella believed she was real
And continued “I curse him, I curse the day I met him… he will never find anything good in his life. Better make use of your brain, before it’s too late for you. Wise up sister.” the lady said, and then took off
Ella continued staring at her stepping down, as her mind filled with mixed feelings. She then found a spot at one shop that was close there and sat.
Her mind flashed to the first day she met Jide and how he refused to reveal what he was doing for a living. She also recalled how Jide said, “once you have something you are doing, we will be fine”
And this created another feeling in her heart.
