My Wicked Him – Episode 38 by Ngozi Lovelyn
Still at the supermarket, Ella was feeling happy that for the first time, a guy recognized her as a lady and treated her like one.
She appreciated Siv who on his own part felt glad that Ella, was finally seeing him from a different perspective.
“Thank you so much” she appreciated
“You shouldn’t mention that”
“This is the nicest thing someone has ever done for me in a while, so allow me appreciate you” she remained grateful
“Hmm…..you are welcome”
“Can I have your number?” she requested, courteously
And Siv gave her a look, to understand if she truly meant that
“We are friends now, so let me have your number”
“Sure…” Siv said, calling out his number for her.
After the number was enunciated, she dialed it, so that Siv can save her’s aswell.
And they exchanged a soft smile.
“And please, Liz is my very best friend, my sweetheart and a sister, don’t mess with her heart or you will have me to deal with” Ella warned joviously
“And you think I enjoy prison cells?” Siv replied with a calm smile, making Ella to join suit…
“You are always funny. Your company must be so fun to be associated with. Liz is so lucky” Ella said as she remained smiling
And Jide chuckled, and stared through her face.
At Jide’s house, after Ella got home, Jide welcomed her warmly, widening his ear to hear how she went about depositing the money.
After waiting for a while, he decided to throw the question.
“Babe, how far? Looks like network is terrible. I’m still yet to receive the alert” He said
“Um…about that…I think we need to talk”
And that wasn’t the response Jide was expecting. And his heart started forming bitter, towards whatever she was about to say. Seeing the reaction on her face meant only one thing, that she didn’t fulfill her promise.
“What’s there to talk about? That you didn’t fulfill the promise you made to me? You got my hopes high just for what? Nothing?” Jide fumed
And Ella stared at his face, as flashes of how Jide had been treating her from the beginning of their relationship started replaying in her eyes.
“Do you love me?” she asked softly
“What kind of stupid question is that?”
“That means, you don’t love me” She replied
