Jide stormed Ella’s house in fury, banging on her door as if he was paying house rent with her.
After he realized that, she wasn’t coming out to open for him, he brought out the spare key she handed to him, but was shocked to realise that, she changed the padlock to the protector.
He yelled furiously, breathing hard, swearing to deal with Ella if he ever set his eyes on her for making him go through that stress.
He reminisced how he planned using the money Ella promised her to buy his dream car and how he already boasted to his friends about it and his heart formed bitter that, she was about making him look like a fool in front of them.
“I already bragged about having that car, and even told them, that the payment is already made. No Ella, you can’t do this to me. I won’t allow you humiliate me like this” he resumed knocking on the door, very hard, attracting an angry neighbour who yelled at him rudely to stop disturbing their peace.
But Jide ignored him and continued what he was doing.
“Can’t you see there is no one in that house, are you blind?” the angry neighbour fired rudely again
“Ella, I know you are in there, open this door now or you regret the outcome of your stupid behaviour this night” Jide raked, ignoring the neighbour
Liz was on phone, chattering happily with Siv who kept making her laugh hard with his jokes.
Ella was sitting by the corner, watching her, remembering when Siv was seriously seeking for her attention and how she harassed him
“And I did that all for Jide who doesn’t have any iota of love for me. Well, I have no option but to be happy for my friend. She truly deserves to be happy” she said to herself, as her eyes, shifted to her phone. She picked it and started going through the series of messages Jide was pouring in.
But one particular message threw her off balance and she quickly called for Liz’s attention.
“Can I call you back?” she requested
“Alright” Siv said, disconnecting the call
“What is it?” she asked Ella who was looking terrified
“Read this” Ella said, handing the phone to Liz, who was anxious to find out what made her friend look that frightened
