“Ella, tell me, what secret is he talking about?” Liz inquired

“I don’t know. I really don’t know Liz” Ella replied, looking extremely disturbed and scared

“But do you have any secret you shared with him?”

“None I can think off’

“Then take it from me, he is bluffing”

“Are you sure?”

“This is what I have been trying to make you understand, Jide is a bad market. It’s now crystal clear you have no place in his heart.”

“But Liz, I shouldn’t take this threat likely. Do you think he has my naked picture and trying to use it to blackmail me? He is confident that, I must give him the money or he will make..”

“Listen Ella” Liz cut in “you are not giving that imbecile any money. He should go to hell with his threat”

“But I’m scared. He can do anything to have me destroyed, I’m scared”

“Nothing to be scared off. He can’t do anything. You hear me? Trust me Ella, it’s an empty threat”

And Ella nodded, fixing a look with Liz who was trying to calm her down.

The next day, while Siv was getting ready to leave for his office, his phone started ringing. He picked it and noticed it was coming from Ella.

The moment he tapped the green button, he felt disoriented hearing Ella crying.
“Ella, are you ok?” he asked as his heart panicked

“Siv, I broke up with my boyfriend and he is threatening me, I’m scared”

“Where are you?”

“I left Liz’s place this morning, but I’m scared of going to my house. I want to check in a hotel, to see if I can clear my head and think of the next thing to do. But I’m scared Siv, I don’t know if I’m doing the right thing”

“Just text me where you are, I’m coming there to meet you. And please, do not worry yourself, you are doing the right thing”

Ella who was already at Lameyors hotel said ok, as the call ended. She then texted him the address to the hotel’s location.

Jide who fell asleep in his living room was woken up by Rose who spent all night thinking about how he treated her last night. She was thinking that, Jide was about breaking up with her.

Jide rushed the phone, thinking it was Ella, but formed bitter again after realising it was Rose.
Her calls were coming at the wrong time. He ignored her.

Siv had reached the hotel, and called Ella to inform her about it.
He then told her that, she was in room 304.
And Siv said Ok and started heading inside.
Before he could reach the receptionist to ask for room 304, Ella already stepped out to meet him.
On sighting him, she ran and fell into his arms. She was seeking for comfort.
Siv held her, wrapping her in his arms, as she felt comforted.

And Siv felt so hurt seeing tears in her eye. He continued holding her in his arms, soothing her, wishing for a way to make her tears go away.
