My Wicked Him – Episode 66 by Ngozi Lovelyn
Siv broke to Ella that he would be introducing her to his family.
And Ella found it a bit uncomfortable. She doesn’t think she was ready to meet his family, yet.
“What if they see me and dislike me? What if they found me unworthy?”
“You are thinking too much my love. Everything will be fine, trust me. My mom already accepted you. So, you will be fine”
“I think we are taking this too fast. We should take things slowly, you know.”
“Nothing to slow here, OK? I chose you and there is no turning back”
“Things are going too fast and I’m not quite comfortable with it. I need to slow him down, to avoid making hasty decisions. It’s too early to see his family. I’m not quite ready for that” Ella thought to herself, still not ready to meet Siv’s family. She wanted to stretch their relationship further, so that, Siv will have enough time to know her and fall madly inlove with her.
“Don’t you love me enough? I thought this is something we both wanted?” Siv asked quietly. He wasn’t expecting Ella to decline seeing his family right away
“Don’t misinterpret me, love…It’s just that, we are still new in this love journey. Are you sure I’m the woman you would be proud to introduce to your family? You still haven’t known me enough. So, I suggest we slow down a bit. I just opened my heart to you, so allow my heart settle first before we proceed further.”
“Any girl would jump in excitement when this request is being mentioned. Don’t tell me you don’t love me as much as I love you” Siv’s face tightened, feeling a bit sad that, Ella wasn’t reacting the way she was supposed to.
As Ella tried to explain further, Siv’s phone started ringing
“Excuse me, I need to take this call”
“Alright” Ella said
“Good Evening, Dad” he greeted in a serious tone.
“Sylvester……………”
“Dad”
“Hmm…your mother has told me everything. Seems you are still insisting on disobeying me?” Mr Vincent asked
“This is a matter of my heart and I mustn’t allow anybody make the decision for me. You raised me to be a man and not to be relying on anyone to make life decisions for me”
“This girl you are talking about, how well do you know her? Can vouch for her, that she is coming into your life for who you are and not what you are?”
And Siv slowly turned, fixing a look on Ella who was sitting down, pressing her phone. He continued looking at her, trying to see if he could relate her to the question his father was asking.
