My Wicked Him – Episode 80 by Ngozi Lovelyn
Siv dragged Ella into his room.
And shocked looking Ella still doesn’t understand why he was preventing her from leaving.
“See, you don’t have to worry about me, I will be fine. I can’t stay in this house. What’s the need of hurting me the more when it’s clearly obvious it’s over between us? You believe everything that man said about me, so I guess it’s pointless trying to clear my name, because no matter what I say, you will still not believe me. Allow me to leave, please” Ella joined her hands, begging him as tears flowed freely
“Sit down please” he requested gently
But Ella remained standing.
He then moved to her, held her by the shoulders and gently pushed her down the bed.
Ella fixed a look with him, to understand what he was trying to do.
Her tears had stopped flowing, as confusion began to circulate her face
“I believe you” Siv said, looking motionless
And Ella gave him a serious questioning look.
“Yes, Ella…I believe you”
“Wait…are you saying this to make me stay or… you truly believe me?”
“Give me your watch” he requested
And Ella brought out her watch and gave to him.
He collected it, opened the back and brought out a chip he planted in it.
“You see this?”
And Ella who had confusion running round her face, nodded
“I planted it in your watch, in order to use it to expose my Dad. It recorded the conversations that took place right from the day I planted it, including the one you did with that cheap swine”
And Ella had a relief that she had something that would prove her innocence.
“Then play it, so that you can confirm that I’m saying the truth” she requested and narrated everything that happened between Ignatius and her
“Ella, you really don’t need to explain anything, I know what you can and can not do. Someone who can love the way you do, is definitely not going to love for money. You love for real and not for material things. Remember you were willing to give up your life savings for your boyfriend”
“My ex” Ella cut in “Stop referring to him as my boyfriend” she requested, laughing lightly
“Ok Ma” Siv replied, smiling back and continued “I know you won’t stoop so low. You are not that kind of girl”
“But I don’t understand anything. What does he want with me? I don’t know him before? What’s his gain?”
“He was sent by my father”
And Ella widened eyes in shock.
“It has always been the desires of my father to marry Chief Adebayo’s only daughter, Bisola. He has been friends with him for like ages and it was Adebayo who made him what he is today. So he believes that, if I can marry Adebayo’s daughter, then I will become a part of his family and inherit his fortune.”
And Ella was surprised at the level a father can go to destroying his son’s relationship.
