The Mistake She Made I Won’t Stop Regretting – part 6
She kept calling and her calls was beginning to piss me off.
Around 3 in the afternoon, I finally decided to respond to her
She was sounding worried, asking what the problem was, why I wasn’t answering her calls.
So I told her that, something came up in the village and that, I was already heading there.
“Is it something serious? Does it involve life and death?”
“Till I get there first”
“Can I come with?”
“You mean come with me to my village?”
“Yes, I can’t stay here all alone”
“Come with me as my what? As my fiancee or what?” I was so harsh with the question and she didn’t say anything again
“I think it will be better you left, because I don’t know when I will be coming back”
“Wait a minute, are you stylishly laying me off? Are you breaking up with me?”
And I loved the question she asked. I felt glad she was getting the picture and therefore, making the break up stuff easy for me.
“I never said that. You are the one bringing it up. But I still maintained you leave, I don’t know when I will be coming back. And besides, my mom may be coming back with me to Onitsha incase the matter gets serious and I wouldn’t want her to meet a girl in my house”
“You are sounding ridiculous. I believe you are matured and your mother won’t frown if she sees a girl here. Simply tell me, you don’t want me here anymore. Don’t worry, I will leave.”
And she ended the call.
Ogochukwu is a girl who knows what she wants. She is confident and doesn’t believe in forcing herself in places she is not welcomed. She understood the message and doesn’t bother pushing things further.
She called me that night, 5 times and I ignored. She called the next morning. I still ignored and neither did I returned her calls and that was how everything about us ended.
I was glad she didn’t make the break up hard.
Her perception about life made it easier.
I waited for 9 days, before making my relationship with Blessing more serious..
