Where is Kennedy? Part 4
Gloria had searched the whole place Kennedy could possibly be, but still no sign of him. She appeared scared and disorganised. She went inside, picked her phone and called Kennedy’s mother, informing her what was going on.
And the mother requested she calm down first, while she asked her some few questions.
She asked her if they were having problems and she said yes, but it wasn’t a serious issue.
That they have been engaging in some series of issues, which is normal with every couple, but they always find a way to settle for their peace and happiness.
And the mother said OK and asked her to calm down, that he will still come back.
“Mama, you are not understanding the point I’m making. The door was still locked from inside when I woke up. There’s no way he could have left and locked it from inside.”
“Maybe, he found another way. I’m guessing the recent argument you had with him really got to his nerves and he decided to, you know, show you how angry he is”
And Gloria sighed, that Kennedy’s mother wasn’t understanding her, because there’s no way Kennedy would left the house and the door still remained bolted from inside.
And Kennedy’s mother continued, urging her to remain calm, that Kennedy is safe. That maybe, he only went out to clear his head.
Seeing that she wasn’t getting her point, Gloria decided not to stress it further. And she said OK as they ended the call.
As she returned to the room, her eyes fell on Kennedy’s already packed bag that was laid beside the wardrobe. While she was gazing on the bag, her baby cried, and she attended to her.
Hours later, still no sign of Kennedy.
She picked her phone, calling Kennedy’s friend and colleague, Buchi asking him if Kennedy was with him, and he said no.
In a shaky tone, she told him what was going on.
And Buchi got surprised and asked, “But he said, he will be traveling today, with you?”
“Yes, but before I woke up, he is gone. But it’s still strange how he left and bolted the door from inside. And he didn’t leave through the window either, because it’s small for his size, he can’t squeeze himself out from the window”
And the whole thing was sounding strange and confusing to Buchi.
He then, ended the call and rushed down to Kennedy’s house and had Gloria explained everything.
But Buchi still couldn’t understand anything and he opted for them to involve the police.
“That’s a good idea, but don’t you think it’s too early? He may still come back, let’s wait like to tomorrow, if he didn’t return, then we file a missing person” Gloria suggested, looking stressed and down
And Buchi bought the idea.
